2022 PCYC Aquatics Program

We are excited to announce our Summer Aquatic Program! This year in addition to our Swim Team ages 5 -18, we will offer individual swim lessons for all ages, a structured adult lap swim program, and water fitness/aerobics.

Jeff Klemmer and Catherine Williams have been members of PCYC since 2018.  They are both avid swimmers and chances are you have seen them at some point working out in the pool! They are very happy to be heading up this year's PCYC Summer Aquatics offerings.

The pool is scheduled to open May 2nd, which should mark the beginning of all the activities shown below. The swim team is scheduled to end their season on June 30th, but we will plan to still offer Private Lessons, Lap Swim, and Water Fitness through the remainder of the summer.

Adult Lap Swim:

For adults interested in a structured lap swim program we will offer pre-determined “coached” workouts, as well as offering assistance on swim stroke techniques, and how to improve on speed & efficiency in the water. Monday / Wednesday / Friday 7:00 am - 8:00 am

Water Fitness/ Aerobics:

For those interested in water fitness, that allows being a bit more social while improving on overall fitness, water fitness classes will provide a great opportunity to do so. Monday/ Wednesday / Friday 8:30 am - 9:30 am

Private Swim Lessons ALL Ages:

Swim lessons MUST be scheduled in advance and are available as a 30 minute session for each lesson. Monday 10:00am - 2:00 pm Tuesday / Thursday 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm Pricing: Swim Lessons: $100 for (4) 30 minute lessons, and will be available on a punch card, or $25 for (1) 30 minute lesson. Adult Lap Swim & Water Fitness:$50 or a (10) visit punch card, or $5 per each visit.

About Jeff

Jeff swam in High School and has been a competitive athlete ever since, competing in running events and triathlons. As an accomplished swimmer, he has also competed in multiple open water swims to include swimming Alcatraz, as well as a 3-mile open water ocean swim!

He is a certified US Masters Swim Coach and has 3 years of experience coaching High School Swim Team and Adult Swimming programs in Virginia.  He is retired from the U.S. Marine Corps having served honorably for 24 years and was also a Combat Water Survival Instructor with the Marine Corps. He is currently a Full Time Fire Fighter with Pass Christian.

About Catherine

Catherine grew up around the water and swam in High School before going to the Naval Academy where she focused her attention on running Cross Country and Track. But she never lost that love of swimming and has competed and won many triathlons.  She taught High School/Middle School Swim for 2 years at Cape Henry Collegiate in Virginia Beach.  She is currently the Cross Country and Track & Field Coach at Our Lady Academy in Bay St. Louis and is a Commander in the United States Navy Reserves.
